The Diploma courses pathway is an IB pathway that allows flexibility in the DP. This means that this pathway is the flexible alternative to the Full Diploma pathway.
In the Diploma Courses pathway students are able to choose the subjects and levels that fit their strength, passion and uni requirements. Students are able to choose 4-6 subjects at either DP higher level, DP standard level or High School level as there are less passing requirements which allows for much more flexibility .
Do not need to take 3 DP classes at higher level
Do not need to complete and pass all the DP core components
Do not need to have at least 24 points (total of subject grades and core points)
Do not need to achieve minimum of 12 points in 3 DP high level courses (total of the 3 subject grades)
Students are able to choose which DP-Core elements are externally assessed, or which they follow
Students can choose to take 2 to 6 IB Courses at SL or HL, 2 courses must be English and Mathematics but the others are a free choice for students as long as they fit within our blocking schedule.
Students will also take as the Core the Personal Professional Skills, Language Cultural Studies, Reflective project and Community Engagement.

The IB Courses pathway with American High School Diploma - is recognised by many Univerisites around the world. It is less universally accepted than the full IB Diploma, but has many direct routes depending on marketplaces and style of university.
Direct Entry = US, Other countries / marketplaces depends on subjects chosen and number of IB Courses taken e.g. UK will be direct entry to many Universities apart from Russell Group and Oxbridge
Non-Direct Entry = Australia (but does depend!)
(SATs often required - ex: Australia; SATs is often more important for students applying with High School Diploma)
