Any course or programme changes must be approved by the College Counselor, teachers involved in the course changes, parents, and the DP Coordinator.
The student needs to collect the course changes or programme changes form from the DP/CP Coordinator or the University Counselor, collect all the necessary signatures and hand it back to the DP/CP Coordinator, who will give the final approval.
Course and programme changes are allowed during the G10 to G11 transition period during G10 and the first four weeks of G11.

Every student at IGBIS completes a High School Diploma, as we are a credit bearing school and the completion of the HSD is a graduation requirement. The IGBIS High School Diploma (IGBIS HSD) is credit based diploma that is designed to meet the graduation requirements that are common to high schools in the United States of America.
The requirements for graduation and attainment of the IGBIS HSD are:
Earn 24 credits over 4 years (grade 9-12)
Complete the DP, CP or HSD Core
Satisfy the school Attendance Policy (average of 85%)
In any MYP, DP, HSD or CP class, Students must attain a minimum year average grade of 3 (or pass) in order to successfully gain a credit in a course/subject. IGBIS HSD students can take IBDP courses from every subject group but must take into consideration the credit requirements. Prior academic performance will be used to identify which IBDP courses are appropriate for each student. The IGBIS HSD follows a model that requires students to gain a minimum of 24 credits in the following courses over 4 years (G9-G12). Please see the specific credit requirements for each pathway on the relevant page.
Awarding IGBIS HSD credit from IB DP and MYP courses
Students will earn one credit for each year of a IB Diploma course (regardless of whether or not they gain the IB course certificate) and one credit for each year of MYP (regardless of whether or not they sit the MYP e-assessment).
