What is CAS?
Creativity, activity, service (CAS) is at the heart of the IB DP and IGBIS HSD. With its holistic approach, CAS is designed to strengthen and extend students’ personal and interpersonal learning from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP).
It is the chance for students to try new experiences while being creative, active and helping others.
Expectations
Expectations
CAS students must:
carry out experiences on a regular basis for 18 months - be balanced across all 3 strands
aim to achieve all 7 CAS Learning Outcomes multiple times
complete at least one CAS Project if they are a full IB DP student
maintain a CAS Portfolio on ManageBac to include reflections and evidence of your personal growth within experiences.
participate in 3 formal CAS Interviews with CAS Coordinator
