BIOGRAPHY
Lucía Pérez Dezcallar, born in Palma de Mallorca, began studying cello in 2012 at the Elementary and Professional Conservatory of Music and Dance of Mallorca, under the guidance of Carmen Valcarce. In 2020, she began her Bachelor's studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands with Emmanuel Bleuse, graduating with honours in 2023.
Throughout her training, she has received instruction from renowned cellists such as Christoph Henkel, Asier Polo, Iván Siso, Ángel García Jermann, Fernando Arias, Amparo Lacruz, Iván Balaguer, Zuzanna Sosnowska, Matthias Naegele, Johannes Krebs, and Audun Sandvik.
She has performed with ensembles including Orquesta Estamos Cuerd@s, Petita Simfònica de les Illes Balears, Orquestra Lauseta, the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands.
In 2017, she took part in the Ingenium Academy Summer School in the UK. She later attended Forum Musikae (Madrid) and Celloleon (León) in 2019, repeating the latter in 2020.
She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Codarts –University of the Arts in Rotterdam, under the mentorship of Joachim Eijlander.
