This project focuses on personalized learning, which is an educational approach that aims to customize learning for each student's strengths, needs, skills and interests. Following this aim, this project has as its main goal to improve educational quality (SDG4) focusing on students.
Our first objective is to foster and reinforce significant learning through personalized practices. A need we have to solve. Nowadays, education is so rigid that a lot of students can’t learn and end up with irrelevant knowledge which isn’t going to have any kind of importance throughout their lives.
The second objective is to start participating in European educational networks to share experiences. This objective responds to the need of sharing and discovering. It’s common for us students to learn in a specific way (the way education is set up in every country) and not be open to different ways of learning. That’s why participating in European educational networks is important. Because then we’ll be able to share, discover and learn new experiences, opening up to a very big world of possibilities.
How will we know we have succeeded in our objectives? Easy. We’ll know it by using this assessment tools:
Initial and final SWOT analysis
Checklist during the mobility
Surveys after the mobility
A SWOT analysis is an analysis of the situation of a business, institution, project or person. Analysing its internal characteristics and external situation in a conceptual framework.
Visiting Sweden with the Erasmus + program can be a good opportunity to experience new learning techniques. As a school, we have the obligation to change several things:
Policy
Strategy
Methodology
Culture
To document this project in a group way, we have created a website where we’ll explain the project, who we are, what we do, how we assess the project and its impact.
To document each student's personal learning process, everyone has created a Personal Learning Portfolio, either on paper or digital. In this portfolio, we include our personal learning experiences on expectations, video calls, positive intakes and possible improvements, etc.
To share this project, we can do different things like taking photos and posting them to our website and the school’s website. Also, locally, we can share everything with the town’s Council, press, radio and TV stations. Nationally, we can explain our Erasmus+ project and experience to official institutions like the Catalan Department of Education (XTEC) and the Spanish International Education Agency (SEPIE). Finally, internationally, we can share it in the European Commission Education Platform (ESEP).
