In February we learn about where we live in the world (donde vivimos) and about how other people around the world live in Spanish speaking countries!
In January we start narrating personal stories. We talk about our daily routines. We learn to talk about the parts of the day and different things we do throughout the day.
In December we work on describing other people. We describe ourselves, superheroes and real heroes.
We also talk about "invierno" (winter).
We start November learning about Día de Muertos (day of the day), a traditional celebration in México.
We also continue taking about our preferences, discussing things such as quehacers (chores) and lugares en la ciudad (places around the city).
We finish the month learning how to describe ourselves with the phrase "yo soy" (I am).
In October we are describing places. We describe fun place, the places we study and our favorite places in the community. We are learning words such as tranquilo (calm) and energético (energetic) or silencioso (silent) and ruidoso (loud).

In September we develop our class expectations, meet Masetra Ivana and meet our class mates. We learn what countries around the world speak Spanish and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. We also start to complete our class calendar where we discuss the date, the weather, and how we are feeling. We discuss how we feel in different kinds of weather.
