Khalil & Jarek community project presentation: tackling poverty

Khalil & Jarek: Shoe drive and soccer tournament

Impact: Collected 56 pairs of shoes AND hosted a soccer tournament for ICSAtlanta students and families in 4th-8th grade.

Sydney: recycling at ICSAtlanta

Impact: Researched recycling opportunties for the Upper Campus.

Abby, Justine, & Matilda: Supporting the Drake House

Impact: Collected canned goods and $220 to donate to the Drake House to support women and children.

Ida: Life of a refugee

Impact: Volunteered for New American Pathways and put together a bedroom for children.

Katelyn: All For Lunch

Impact: Raised awareness and funds for the All for Lunch program to support students who cannot pay for school lunch.

Ava & Skye: The Bailey Project for Fur kids

Impact: Raised over $200 for FurKids and raised awareness of needs for animals in shelters and foster care.

Caroline, isabelle, & lily: Open Mic Night

Impact: Hosted an Open Mic night for the community and raised over $1300 for Lighthouse Family Retreat to support families when their child has cancer.

Sophia & Elita Community Project

Elita & Sophia: Bake Sale for St. Jude Hospital

Impact: Hosted a community bake sale and raised over $700 to donate to St. Jude Hospital.

Alex & Christian: The Trash Bash 

Impact: Created a game to teach kids about trash and recycling.

Ruth: Fashion for a Cause

Impact: Created a website to generate outfits to help people feel confident about themselves.

Impact: Created a website to help people find food banks in Georgia.

Rigel Harris and Calvin Demar: Road cleanup

Calvin & Rigel: road clean up 

Impact: Cleaned up trash in several local locations and removed over 30 bags of trash for the community.

Zach: The trash smash

Impact: Cleaned up trash in Dawsonville, at Lake Lanier, and on a local trail to keep trash out of the waterways.

Impact: Tutored two elementary students in ELA and math.

Giulian & Samuel: waterway clean up

Impact: Removed trash from yards where it would migrate to creeks and other waterways.

Impact: Volunteered at Dunwoody Nature Center and removed invasive plants from trails.

Impact: Use art therapy techniques to help friends feel calmer before a test.

Renewable energy awareness 2023

Addison, Lukas, & Max: solar energy awareness

Impact: Created a website to teach people about solar energy and raised over $100 for Solar Energy Georgia.

Keely: caring for shelter dogs

Impact: Volunteered at FurKids and raised awareness of the needs of animals in foster care and shelters.

Katrina: writing the bunny book

Impact: Wrote a children's book about bunnies.

Charlotte, Grace, & Kaelyn: the struggle for stability

Impact: Raised awareness about the needs of immigrants in the USA by distributing flyers.

Juliana and Lily Community Project Presentation

Juliana & Lily: dog-gone delicious dog treats

Impact: Baked dog treats and donated over $100 to Canines for Service.

Jonathan, Lucas, & Kelemen: atlanta's fight against homelessness

Impact: Raised over $250 to the Atlanta Mission and South Gwinnett Co-Op to help the homeless in Atlanta.

Impact: Volunteered at CAC Food Bank and made wax wraps for teachers and staff to use at home.
