Middle Years Program (MYP)

ICSAtlanta is offering the Middle Years Program (MYP) to all students in 6th-8th grade. This incorporates MYP Years 1-3. MYP Year 4 and 5 are completed at the high school level for accredited high schools. In the Middle Years Program (MYP) students will further the inquiry and the understanding of key concepts from the Primary Years Program (PYP).
Students will study 8 subject areas each year and explore service as actions opportunities. In the 8th grade, students will complete the Community Project to bring all areas of study together in preparation for high school.
Students will study all 8 subjects every year:
Language & Literature (ELA)
Math (on-level or Accelerated)
Individuals & Societies (Social Studies)
Science
Language Acquisition (L2 and DLI)
Design
PE and Health
Arts (Drama, Media Arts, Dance)
