What are A-G Requirements?
The A-G / College Entrance Requirements are a sequence of high school courses that students must complete (with a grade of C or better) to be minimally eligible for admission to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU).
The CTE Course Guide identifies all CTE Courses that are part of the A-G requirements for admission to the University of California and California State University systems.
Also noted in the Course Guide are those courses that have one or more industry certification(s) available to students while taking the CTE course. For details about specific certifications in each course, contact the instructor.
Earning College Credit while take CTE Classes
CTE offers an array of opportunities for high school students to earn college credit while taking CTE courses at their local high school.
Articulated Courses are noted in the Course Guide with a and require a student to pass an exam at the end of the course.
Dual Enrollment Courses are offered in local high schools and may be a CTE course as well.
Concurrent Enrollment are courses offered at a community college and are open to anyone.
AP/IB Courses may count for college credit depending on their score on the AP/IB exam.
