It was July 9th, 1978 when six visionary sisters started this organization. Alhamdulillah, today, we have more than 1200 members all over Canada.
ICNA SISTERS CANADA is a wing of ICNA Canada, a not-for-profit organization and a registered charity. All donations we receive are tax deductible.
Elections are conducted every two years for the President of ICNA Sisters Canada and Sisters board.
Sisters’ general assembly is the final decision-making body in all matters.
We have chapters, regions, and cities where our chapter, regional, and city teams carry all the activities under different departments.
ICNA Sisters Windsor is a subsidiary of ICNA Sisters Canada.
Our national team comprises a Sister president along with a team of elected and nominated board members.
Each chapter and region has its own elected president and shura. The department-In-Charges are constantly in touch with the national Department-in-Charge.

Aims to provide the true Islamic perspective through authentic literature as well as by providing opportunities to learn directly from the Muslims.
Through tazkeer, naseeha, lectures, workshops, and self-assessment tools. Daily planner is the newest project of this department.
Encourages women, to work individually and collectively, for the betterment of fellow citizens, regardless of their race, age ethnicity, and religion.
Initiates, participates and collaborates with other organizations in developing the projects aimed at bringing positive change in the society.
Under the department of Research and Publications, our intention is to create compelling learning material for ICNA in both print and audio/visual format.
The purpose of Writers Forum is to encourage our sisters to write and enhance their writing Skills. Publish Quarterly online Newsletter – English and Urdu with the name of Sisters’ Voice.
Develop and organize media training and awareness. Update all events’ reporting on social media accounts. Manage Websites, YouTube and other social media accounts.
Keeps record of all donations and expenses properly for internal and external audit. Provides financial resources as requested according to the approved budget.
Printing of dawah brochures, leaflets, flyers, and one-minute cards to be distributed for dawah purposes and to make them accessible to all.
Make books, Quran, and other reading material accessible to all members and volunteers.
