TRIP TO REUS

A group of 8  students  aged 12-13 years old, accompanied by 3 teachers and the Headmistress were Hosted by ESCOLA “ MARIA FORTUNY” in Reus- Catalonia from 31st March to 5th April. This mobility aimed at raising students’ awareness about green issues and sustainability as well as improving the learning of English, since the communication language was English. In addition all this experience helped them strengthen the European dimension of learning by promoting the knowledge of European diversity.

This was the programme of the activities:

31st March

·       Big welcome from Escola Marià Fortuny

·       School tour

·       Break Time

·       Visit of the vegetable garden and gardening activities where students planted an almond tree and stamped a big stone with their names.

·       Laboratory aimed at using the laser cutter to create simple designs and understand the basic principles of digital fabrication

·       Lunch time at school canteen

·       Students’ choice to participate into the learning environment they wanted to go aimed at developing self-knowledge and autonomous competence.

·       Visit of the Casa Navàs to learn the modernist style and understand the history of REUS

1st April

·       Walking city tour of Reus to explore the host city through a guided tour in English, learning about its main landmarks, history and culture, practicing the observation and communication skills.

·       Town Hall Reception. The mayor of Reus and the Councilor of Education will receive the Erasmus team at the town hall.

·       Luch at the school canteen

·       Learning environment on sustainability.

2nd April

·   Visit of Escola Santa Marina in Pradtip.

·       Visit of the school

·       International Kahoot to learn more about the Erasmus team’s different culture and about Europe.

·       Walking through the town to know the culture and local traditions

·       Geolocation activity: working on environmental orientation with traditional tools

3rd April

·       Visit of Tarragona- Roman Tarraco activity : learning about Tarragona, how it was and how it is today

·       Departure to Reus and lunch at Sushiom Buffet

·       Salting activity aimed at making new friends through ludic activities

·       Dinner with the Erasmus team: students and teachers

4th April

·       Sports Day based on traditional games from 4 different cultures and reflect about similarities and differences

·       Students’ reflection on the week

·       Delivery of school certificates

·       Luch at school canteen

5th April     

·       Visit of  Barcelona

·       Walking through the city to know the main attractions
