This focus area will be taught over a period of 10 weeks per each academic year where pupils will be creating a new brand name, logo and packaging design for a sandwich company, exploring the common theme of Sustainability.
Pupils in Graphics will have opportunities to:
investigate, discuss, analyse and draw inspiration from a variety of different sources.
test, refine and reflect on their design decisions in order to produce successful graphic outcomes.
use a variety of digital design methods and techniques to develop and present ideas clearly.
use knowledge of sustainability to create designs that minimise the negative impact on the environment.
How can I support my child in Year 7 Graphics?
Online design programmes such as 'Canva' and 'Adobe Express' are a great way to practice and deepen digital design skills and get your child interested in the subject.
