The children will be at the heart of all our assessments but you, as a parent or carer are vital to the development of your child as well.
You need to have a clear understanding of how your child is developing and what you can do to support this further.
Over the last two years the ways in which you can contact the class teacher have expanded using the internet and apps. You can see what your child is doing on a daily basis so we encourage you to:
Ask what they have done each day including: How did they do it? What do they need to do next?
Attend Parents' Evening to look at the learner journal/books and find out how your child is progressing in school holistically.
Encourage your child to do the Home Learning we set.
Read, play games, talk, build resilience, give experiences, build routines and structure for bedtimes - anything to reinforce those cross cutting skills that will be so important to develop your child's learning.
Ensure they attend school regularly and on time.
