Our Journey So Far
It's Good to be Green!
All classes have a good to be green chart. The 8 step procedure plan, linking with children's rights is also displayed. The children understand the procedure, they are aware of their rewards and consequences.
Pupil Voice
Pupil Voice sessions happen fortnightly. Children's ideas are recorded on post it notes and these are displayed on the class pupil voice display.
Mascot Competition
Children across the school had the chance to take part in our rights respecting mascot competition.
The Application Process
Application forms were handed out to all children who were interested in becoming a member of a pupil voice group.
Meeting Minutes
During our fortnightly meetings, pupils are in charge of recording the meeting minutes. These are then displayed on our school pupil voice group display.
Assemblies
The i-Rights group led assemblies for the whole school, every month. The assemblies linked to the right of the month and a charity.
Mentimeter
During our staff meetings we used Mentimeter to look into each of the rights. We decided what we do as a school to promote the right.
Certificates
Star of the week certificates are handed out weekly in our whole school assembly. We remind the children that they have the right to be the best that they can be!
What rights do you know?
The i-Rights group completed an activity where they wrote down every right that they could remember from their memory.
Mahima
We teamed up with Hafod Primary and other Swansea schools to help Mahima get her rights!
Rights Around the School!
The rights are displayed across the school. They are on displays, doors, next to taps, in the dinner hall and at the front entrance.
Outdoors
Ricky is displayed on the outdoor yard!
Rights
The rights are labelled in our outdoor areas!
Our School Aims
These are our 4 school aims. All children are aware of what they are!
Extinction Solutions
This was our Spring 2020 topic! Each year group focussed on a different topic - the rainforest, the oceans, rivers and so on.
