i-Rights carried out a whole school assembly to share the right of the month. They also informed the pupils of the UNICEF Clarks Shoe Share campaign that we took part in. Children and staff across the school were encouraged to bring in any unwanted shoes, so that they can be taken to Clarks in exchange for educational resources, for countries that are less privileged.
The shoes were delivered to Clarks on Newport Road.
We received a certificate for taking part in the Shoe Share with Unicef.
The shoes will help children around the world access their right to an education.
The i-Rights group helped sort the shoes into pairs before they were taken to Clarks.

i-Rights carried out a whole school assembly to share the right of the month. They also informed the pupils of what we do to promote this right at Meadowlane Primary. For example, Wake and Shake, Meditation, Fabulous Fridays and lots more!
The whole school took part in rights based lessons and activities to remember what rights the children have. Children in Key Stage 2 took part in Out Right the world's largest lesson where Kirsty Williams came to visit the school.
i-Rights carried out a whole school assembly, highlighting and informing the children of the events happening this month that remind us to keep safe and how we can also help others be safe : Bonfire night, Children in Need, Anti-bullying week, World Children's Day and Remembrance Sunday.
It's Christmas concert month this month. Foundation Phase have been working so hard practicing their lines and songs ready for the Christmas concerts! The school choir also performed at the WMC.
All children took part in a Christmas design project. They researched, designed, costed, created and then sold their creations in the Christmas Fayre.
Children raised money by wearing their Christmas jumpers to school!
We designed and made our own Christmas Cards.
