A two hour online professional learning session for NQTs, non-specialists and early professional development teachers.

This course has been specifically designed for NQTs, non-specialists and anyone teaching English in the classroom who is looking for ways to teach oracy, reading and writing effectively. It aims to provide clear guidance on the basics of English teaching and key aspects of what it means to teach at Key Stage 3 and 4 in the classroom today. Covering structuring an effective lesson, questioning, and how to effectively teach reading and writing, participants will leave with resources to support their classroom practice. Aiming to support departments in the current time, the focus will be on developing professional practice that enables learner progression.

A second follow up course will take place in February 11th 2021.
