In the LRC we strive to ensure that all our pupils are successful in learning that is accessible to them at their level. We provide an education that engages and challenges them according to their own interests, and a curriculum that allows them to achieve success in the LRC and transfer the skills developed in the LRC to our mainstream settings.
Our LRC is one of the specialist settings for complex needs in Pembrokeshire. We have a wide range of multi -sensory strategies embedded into our every-day practice that encourages and supports the inclusion of children who have social communication and interaction differences. Our curriculum is based upon providing children with the foundations of communication through Intensive Interaction, Attention Autism and TEACCH strategies with activiites aimed specifically for each pupil’s Individual Development Plan(IDP) allowing them to become life long learners.
