Introduction
The level 3 course offers an interesting and specific program for students who intend to follow a Leisure, Sports and well-being course at university or who intend to work directly within the industry.
The grades are equivalent to Advanced Level grades (A / C / E) and equivalent to the same UCAS points. There is no exam in the subject, instead there is evidence of attainment through portfolio work. The evidence (portfolio) can take many different forms such as a Power Point presentation, written assignments or witness statements.
At the end of the course successful candidates will be able to receive the grades Pass (equivalent to grade E), Merit (equivalent to grade C) or Excellence (equivalent to grade A).

The Sports course was designed to provide a specific, vocational qualification within the Sports, Leisure and Well-being Industry. The qualification offers opportunities to expand students' knowledge and practical skills based on the Sports industry.
Entry Requirements
The subject will be new to many pupils and they are not expected to have any previous knowledge although GCSE Physical Education or Sport Level 2 would be advantageous.
