A variety of contemporary human and physical themes are studied.
At AS level, themes include glaciation, tectonic hazards, urban and rural change: challenges and rebranding.
At A Level, themes include: River systems; Global migration and governance of the Earth’s Oceans; China and 21st Century Challenges.
The above studies are also supported by various physical and human field work.

Tackles big and contemporary issues. Highlights our global interdependence as people, environments and countries in the 21st Century. Develops the key skills employers want:-Â
communication; interpreting data; problem solving and the ability to think independently.
Encourages team work through field work.
Helps us to make sense of the world around us by studying different places, processes and populations from local to global scales.
Develops our responsibilities as global citizens and an understanding of some of the key issues facing world today.
Entry Requirements
Although individual consideration will be given to each learner, it would be beneficial if they had at least a C in GCSE Geography.
