Over the past year, we have proudly trialled the What’s Occurring? app at Blaenycwm School, with highly positive outcomes. Designed to support inclusive, person-centred practice, the app strengthens communication between school and families of pupils with Additional Learning Needs, helping parents feel informed, reassured, and truly included in their child’s school life. It has also significantly reduced pressure on staff by streamlining communication and easing workload, particularly at hometime, leading to calmer, happier end-of-day experiences for pupils, families, and staff.
