We take great pride in the work that we do with the community. As seen on our awards page, we have achieved the HEART OF THE COMMUNITY award and are always eager to work with the community both inside and outside of our school building. You can read more about these sorts of community engagement on our Weekly bulletin and our Engagement news tab.
Our KS2 pupils make weekly visits to Brynfarm Community House foodbank. This gives our pupils invaluable experience of how the foodbank operates. Every week our pupils date stock, rotate stock and help pick orders to ensure they are ready for collection or delivery- providing a little extra support for those who need it in our community.
We regularly visit Lake View Centre, Bert Denning Centre and Saxon Court to take part in intergenerational work with residents. Our pupils enjoy their time out in the community and we have had excellent feedback from residents and members of the community we visit!
