Priority 1: Pedagogy - Curriculum for Wales
To ensure a balanced and creative curricular provision based on the principles and requirements of 'Curriculum for Wales' focusing on opportunities to solve problems, to think creatively and critically in order to ensure that each and every child receives a range of stimulating and rich educational learning experiences which based on the four purposes.

Priority 2: Literacy / Welsh
Restoring and raising standards of orality, reading and writing in Welsh in order to improve proficiency and use of the language; and the quality of Welsh work; across the curriculum.
Maintaining the momentum in terms of encouraging the enjoyment of Welsh books in order to continue to increase enthusiasm and motivation to read Welsh books (Years 2-6)
Further improve the quality of extended writing.
Deliberate intervention: Formalize the targeting in the foundation phase / thoroughly target ALN pupils.
Priority 3: Numeracy
Restoring and raising standards within the field by giving better attention within our provision to developing the basics of Numeracy and improving the use of dedicated resources to ensure a rapid understanding of number and mathematics concepts across the school
Developments:
Ensuring regular opportunities to practice and develop written calculation methods (Years 1-6)
Ensuring that each class offers a full and appropriate numeracy curriculum for each pupil's age/ability and that clear consistency from class to class ensures effective opportunities to develop all skills within each mathematics strand and ensure calculation at the appropriate challenge level

The role of the assistants (one-to-one) in assessing ALN pupils and identifying the next steps using targets.
Improving early intervention
