The freedom to choose our own topic for this project was great, though the research process what quite challenging. Though this unit, I found out that economics is everywhere, and because of this, I realized that I could do my project on almost anything. I love watching movies, and I love learning about the film industry, so this was the perfect opportunity to integrate my interests into this class. Through my research, I quickly found out how big a role the entertainment industry plays in our economy. A quick look at the billions of dollars films make every year demonstrates that. As a frequent visitor to the movie theater, I could myself as an active contributor to our nation's economy.
