For my propaganda project, I thought it would be interesting to argue for the ideology of Communism, even though I don't fully agree with it. My "Commercial for Communism" targets the people of the world in a variety of ways. Firstly, I use the "Name-calling" strategy, calling Capitalism out for its greed, wealth inequality, and corruption, as evident my the Rich Man's treatment of his servant and the Poor Man. This treatment is exaggerated in a way that's mean to elicit "Emotional Appeal", specifically, when the Rich Man steals food from the Poor Man. Many might feel anger at the unfairness of this act. While I can't say that this propaganda piece would be extremely effective in today's context, the strategies I used give it some historical authenticity. In the past, propaganda has used these strategies to effectively spread ideologies.
