Da Vinci class has made a fantastic start to school life and have settled in quickly. The children have all proven to be risk-takers by coming into school independently, and have learnt the routine of the school day and understand the rules needed to stay safe (be principled). The children have formed new friendships within the class and have explored their new classroom environment together. They are very kind and caring towards each other and have shown support to others when they are feeling a little wobbly about being in school. We have been amazed at how well they can follow instructions and how engaged they are in their learning. The children are keen to learn and share their ideas with their adults and peers about a range of different topics. We have started our inquiry about how our friends and families define and shape who we are. The children have drawn self- and family portraits, talking about who is in their family and their family activities.
