“Water Safe” - hearing different answers or mention of swim levels that equate to a child being water safe. Helpful phrases:
Tell me what you mean by “water safe”.
We believe in making kids safer.
We teach kids to love and respect the water.
No one should ever swim alone no matter how good they swim.
We teach independence in the water. Independent swimmers must still have adult supervision.
An example of progression could be parent who was in the water moving to sitting on the edge of the pool with no distractions.
