The Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) is a state-funded program through the Arizona Department of Education that offers education options for eligible Arizona students.
ClassWallet is the platform that distributes ESA funds to approved vendors.
HFSS bills ESA swimmers at our standard tuition rates.

Treat the family as you would any other for all HFSS procedures. If there is a swim credit due to their drop date we are happy to refund the ESA funds.
Can HFSS edit the payment receipt, create a custom invoice, or provide an alternative document for submission?
No. The receipt is a PDF generated by iCP and can not be altered. We are not able to create custom invoices.
Can HFSS adjust which student gets the discount for lessons?
HFSS cannot change which student receives this discount, as it is automatically assigned. Refer to Monthly Billing for details on how discounts are calculated. Options include either putting swimmers on separate accounts with no discount or allowing the discount to be applied automatically to one account.
Can I put my swimmers on separate accounts so each has their own card for Direct Debit?
Yes! You’ll need a unique email address for each account you wish to set up. Once your accounts are created, let us know so we can add a family note to keep them from merging. When setting up each account, use the guardian name “Account 1” with the last name “ESA” (e.g., Account 1 ESA, Account 2 ESA, etc.).
What if the family is waiting on ESA/ClassWallet funds?
The account holder is responsible for making on-time payments for their enrollments - we are not extending due dates to delay payments. ClassWallet processes payments independently; HFSS cannot guarantee funding timelines. If payment is not received by the scheduled due date, the card on file will be charged automatically. Once ClassWallet funds are applied to the account, a receipt will be emailed to the family. After receiving the receipt, families may reply to the email to request a refund to the card on file.
