Prior to joining Hillsborough Township Public Schools, Mrs. Spagnuolo taught middle school Social Studies and Science, as well as 4th and 5th grade. She has a true passion for working with middle school students and looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for sewing and foods with the 7th graders at HMS, where they will explore these topics in Family & Consumer Sciences during their Related Arts Rotation.

At home, Mrs. Spagnuolo enjoys keeping family traditions alive by preparing recipes that have been handed down through the  generations. She shares this love of food and family with her husband and sons, who are always ready to taste test her tried and true favorites and latest creations. She is also an avid quilter and has a never ending supply of sewing projects waiting to be finished.  Depending on the season, Mrs. Spagnuolo can often be found at an ice rink or on the sidelines of a lacrosse field rooting for her boys’ hockey and lacrosse teams.

Carole Cieless

Carole Cieless was born in Northeastern, Pennsylvania and was the granddaughter of a coal miner.  My family also had a small department store where she learned about retail business.  Mrs. Cieless has a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology (home economics with a business concentration) from Marywood University, an Associates in Applied Science in Fashion, Buying, and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology that she earned during her junior year of college, and a Master in Arts in Education from Rider University.  After college, Mrs. Cieless was an assistant buyer and then buyer at Macy’s New York where she put her keen eye for merchandising to work.  After moving into teaching preschool, Kindergarten, and grade 5, Mrs. Cieless found her true passion in working with high school students to form positive relationships and getting them to enjoy the “Ah-ha” moments in their little preschool friends.  Mrs. Cieless lives in the Lawrenceville area where she enjoys exploring the Hopewell Trail and the many beautiful state parks, loves cooking, and enjoys singing (her first name means song or sing happily!).
