Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

He helped children with illnesses and disabilities through his own foundation and other charity organizations. Dwayne created a foundation called the ROCK foundation to help better the lives of children with disabilities and illnesses. He donated over 800 million dollars toward his cause, with the goal for the organization being to make every child smile (“Dwayne”). This evidence shows the way he’s gone out of his way to help those who are less fortunate than him. Without getting much out of it, he puts so much work into charity and his organization to better the lives of others. He has also helped with crisis relief, The Rock, while still filming with Disney, went out of his way to help with a flood relief organization in Hawaii. The island of Kaua’i was hit with their largest natural disaster, causing major flooding. Dwayne promoted the fund on social media to help get more people to donate to the flood victims (Barcelona). This evidence shows that even while busy with filming a Disney movie, Dwayne Johnson will make time to help people who are going through a crisis. It shows that he will do as much as he can to help other people, including spreading the cause to his around 250,000,000 followers. 

Dwayne Johnson had an important impact on the wrestling industry, with many fellow wrestlers and wrestlers-to-be looking up to him. Perseverance is one of Dwayne’s many great qualities. He is a third generation wrestler, him growing up moving around a lot because of his dad being a wrestler. He had a difficult time making friends and was teased because of his father’s job, but he still pursued (“Dwayne ‘the Rock’”). This shows that the Rock is an inspiration for young people who want to become wrestlers. Despite him being made fun of as a child, he persevered and became the wrestler we knew him as. This sends a message to people in the same situation that they can achieve their dreams if they set their mind on it. By bettering himself he was able to achieve many great things and help many others as well. Before retiring, Dwayne won 17 WWE titles (Biography.com). This demonstrates that what he accomplished during his wrestling career and what he worked for was no ordinary feat. He serves as inspiration for wrestlers today, and wrestlers in his time also took inspiration from him in order to better themselves. The Rock was not only inspirational but also very good when it came to wrestling. Out of 854 matches total (WWE and WWF) he won 452, lost 355, and there were 47 draws (“The Rock”). This furthermore shows he was a real veteran when it came to wrestling. He had various accounts of experience with different people in matches and even though his w/l ratio was very close (452:355), people still enjoyed watching his matches. Another one of Dwayne's great qualities is flexibility. “With few prospects in professional football, Johnson turned to wrestling, debuting in the WWE against the Brooklyn Brawler in Texas. After a couple more matches, including a tag team win with Bart Sawyer, the WWE signed him under the name Flex Kavana. A year later, he joined The Nation of Domination, eventually taking over its leadership and calling himself The Rock” (Biography). This evidence shows that Dwayne Johnson, even though he did not have much luck with football, kept persisting into another career. He became the leader of a wrestling organization after only being a member for a year. This shows that he is a very likable person, and that he is a natural leader.
