Thank you to all of our students, parents/guardians, and staff for another amazing school year at BMS! We are so proud of all of the accomplishments, successes, and growth that our students have demonstrated this year. Thank you to our families as well for the continued support and partnership with the school to make these middle school years a great experience for our students. There is a lot of information in this newsletter as we prepare already for August, so please let me know if there are any questions.
Please keep an eye on your emails over the summer for 2025-26 school year updates.
Fire up, Go Eagles! Have a fantastic summer!
Ryan Crete, Principal - Baldwin Street Middle School
Please make sure to email a current immunization record to Kristen Barnes-Lee at kbarnes1@hpseagles.net BEFORE August 1, 2025. We must have this information on file for all 7th grade students before the start of school. Any questions, please contact Kristen.
This summer, HPS is offering a summer learning option called Summer S.O.A.R. Here are the details:
Each week students will have the opportunity to complete a Math, ELA, and exploratory activity.
If they complete all three activities in a week, they will earn a prize (books, candy, etc.) and a chance to win a bigger weekly prize, like Wesco popcorn or bowling passes.
Students can earn prizes every week they complete all activities by filling out a form.
Each week students can go to Baldwin St. or Riley St. Middle School during the scheduled times below to pick up prizes or work on the online activities. Students entering grades K-6 have different activities than students entering grades 7-12.
You can access full details and links by going to Summer SOAR.
Students will keep Chromebooks and chargers over the summer. Students needing repairs turned in their device the last week of school. The tech department will complete repairs and contact families when finished.
Students going into 9th grade will exchange their current devices for new ones the week before school starts in August. Everyone else will keep their devices for next year.
Please follow these guidelines for device care.
Students can use their devices for a variety of productive purposes, including the Summer S.O.A.R program, which will help them be ready for next year. There are prizes available. See the site for full details.
