Here's what happened!
Monday-Thursday 9:00am-1:00pm
Dress Rehearsal: Friday 1:00pm-6:00pm
Performance: 6:00 (lasting approximately 1 hour)
Actor Training (memorization, character development)
Vocal Development (technique, ensemble training)
Choreography (developing and executing the dance in a musical theatre number)
The campers will develop a musical theatre number and craft a skit/scene for the performance.
There will also be additional learning opportunities with staff and alumni, Q+A sessions, etc.
There is no registration deadline. Students will be divided into separate age groups depending on enrollment. Spots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. After all spots have been filled, students will have the option to be put on a waitlist.
Performing Arts Camp is open to home school students 9 years old and older (as of 6/1/2025); 2025 graduates are also allowed to attend.
The cost is $150 for each student. Each camper will receive an HPA t-shirt to wear for the performance and keep.
Students should expect to spend 30-60 minutes outside of camp working on material each day (memorizing, practicing, etc.).
Families must agree to have their students abide by the dress code when participating in Performing Arts Camp. Click here to review the dress code policy.
Each student must BRING an HPA Release Form filled out and signed.
Encore is only for highschoolers who are ready to push to the next level of their abilities! Video auditions are required to be considered for this track and there are ONLY FOUR SPOTS available in each city. Encore students will be intermixed with the rest of camp throughout most of the day, and then stay for an extra hour. Encore students will prepare and perform a solo/duet and dramatic material. The following variations and information apply to the Encore participants:

Scene Work (character development and work on scene from a theatre piece)
Vocal Development (individual training to perform a solo or duet for the performance)
Choreography (developing and executing the dance in a musical theatre number)
Other activities such as audition tips and feedback, potential masterclass-style opportunities, etc.
You will receive a link to register once you have applied and been accepted.
Video auditions need to include students singing a verse or chorus of a musical theatre song and a 20-30 second monologue (these will most likely not be what the student will perform Friday evening).
Video links need to be submitted by May 24 in the Encore Application.
Encore Camp is open to home school students entering 9th grade and older. 2025 graduates are also allowed to attend.

*If not accepted into Encore, students are still encouraged to sign up for the Performing Arts Camp! Students who apply but are not assigned to Encore will be allowed to register for the standard camp even if it has sold out.
