Hello everyone! My name is Denise Maser and I am your son/daughter’s CAD or Pre-CAD Instructor at Howell High School. I wanted to send out a quick and simple note to everyone to introduce myself. I am proud to be able to say that I have been in the field of education for 31 years and I have an additional 7 years of work experience in the field of tooling and special machinery. In addition, I have designed several homes for clients without the state of Michigan. I had taught at Oakland Technical Center Southwest for 21 years and now I am here at Howell High School, which will be teaching my 10th year here. While teaching, I was able to earn my associates degree from Schoolcraft Community College before earning my Bachelors degree from Ferris State University in Voc. Ed.
Here at Howell, We have several different CAD software’s that is available for the students to use and learn, starting with AutoCAD 2018, Inventor 2018, Revits, 2018, NX 10 and Softplan 2014. Students have the ability to learn either Mechanical or Architectural drafting in my class. Some students have done both while other choose only one. Also, the CAD program has 5 different 3D printers, which the students will learn how to run and operated. We use MakerBot systems, which is very user friendly and has the ability to get the job done.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to come down and visit or email me at maserd@howellschools.com any time.

Laura has been the Health Occupation Instructor for two years.
I began my career path in education taking the Early Childhood Education Course from Mrs. Hengesbaugh at Howell High School-- now 18 school years later I find myself back in that very same class having the opportunity to teach, inspire and share my experiences with the next generation of educators.
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Physical Education from Brigham Young University, where I competed as a collegiate pole vaulter. During my undergraduate education I lived in Montreal, Quebec for 18 months gaining experience teaching in both English and French. I later earned a Masters in Education from Southern Utah University.
I have spent the last decade teaching third grade, fourth grade and most recently Kindergarten in the elementary school. I am so excited to take over the Early Childhood Education and Educational Careers courses at HHS as Mrs. Hengesbaugh retires. The ECE program is very dear to my heart-- I hope my knowledge and experience in education will give our students the confidence they need to be successful as they pursue a career in education.
