The Early College program gives students the opportunity to jumpstart their educational and career pathways while still in high school. By the end of the program students will be walking away with a Certificate, Associate degree, MEMCA Certification, and/or college credits. By participating students agree to an additional year of education to the traditional four-year high school track. In return students receive free college tuition and books that are paid for by your students’ local school district; Brighton Area Schools, Fowlerville Community Schools, Hartland Consolidated Schools, Howell Public Schools, and Pinckney Community Schools.
While in their senior year of high school (grade 12), students will either begin with a full college course schedule or be enrolled in several college courses, dependent upon chosen program track. They will learn how to adjust to college deadlines and calendars, advocate for themselves, and transition into a college student. In year 13, their schedule becomes full with college courses, an internship, and career opportunities. Throughout the duration of the program students will be supported by our Early College coordinator.
Program tracks that are currently offered: Automotive, Business Management, Career Ladder Nursing, College Foundation, Cyber Security, Mechatronics, Medical Assisting, and Welding and a Foundation track offering 30 general education credits.
