Hi everyone! I'm Yanira Soria, an elementary music teacher with a passion for sharing the joy of music with young minds. I’m originally from Spain, and I bring a bit of that vibrant culture into everything I do. As a mom to a lively first grader, I’m always inspired by the curiosity and energy that kids bring to learning.
I love to travel and see the world, finding new rhythms and melodies wherever I go. My journey in education began with an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from Sam Houston State University, and I later earned both my Master's and Doctorate degrees in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music with an emphasis on Music Education from the University of Houston.
I’m a firm believer in lifelong learning, and I’m always excited to discover new ways to connect with my students and help them explore the wonderful world of music!
I am excited to start my 12th year as a music teacher and my second at Harvard.
