You need to ensure that you work through a process. By following this process you will be developing your design.

Find images of different drink bottles. Ones with filters, metal ones, plastic ones etc. Notate what you like and don't like about them. Why are they your thoughts?

Use geometric shapes to form ideas. You will choose three shapes, overlap them to create a form. Do this to prompt some initial ideas for forms.

Create a page that is very sketchy. Draw heaps of different designs on a page. Use this as a way to get ideas to a page. You do not need to use any of these designs. Add a few notes explaining the idea.

Choose your two favorite designs and then start to develop them. You need to explore the shape, how it stands and how effective the bottle is.

Ergonomics is how your design works in use. You need to explore how people will use your bottle. How can they hold it? How can they drink from it? Develop the shape to make it fit for purpose. You need to show a hand with the design.

Now that your design is just about finished, you need to start to design the aesthetics of the bottle. This is exploring the texture, color, and finer details of the design.
LO – Generate an appropriate construction type for design
SC – Demonstrate how design is put together
Explore possible ways how your bottle will be made. Is the lid a screw on one? How is the grip attached? Does your filter attach to the lid or the bottle? Show different options of this
LO – Present final outcome
SC – Create final evaluation
