Placement Year Assessment

The Placement Year Assessment  is a five step process with a 3-part reflective report, see the image below. The placement year assessment asks students to set goals and consider their achievements and is modelled on induction/probation/review processes often used by companies. If a student is required to complete a company review as part of their placement year we can accept this as an alternative to the university’s assessment piece as long as the student has received their manager’s permission to share their review documentation.

Assessment Portfolio 

ASSESSMENT DEADLINE 

Full & final reflection is due by 15th May (even if the placement has not finished by this stage students should complete the reflections on their placement up to this date). The Placement Year is marked on a pass/fail basis. Passing the placement year will add the ‘with Placement Year’ to a student’s degree.
