ASIAN/PACIFIC AMERICAN AWARDS FOR LITERATURE

The Asian/Pacific American Awards for Literature celebrate Asian/Pacific American culture and heritage. The awards are based on literary and artistic merit within three youth categories including Picture Book, Children’s Literature and Young Adult Literature.

CORETTA SCOTT KING BOOK AWARDS

The Coretta Scott King Book Awards are awarded annually to recognize exceptional African American authors and illustrators of books for children and young adults. Their work demonstrates, "an appreciation of African American culture and universal human values." The award memorializes the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and honors his wife, Coretta Scott King.

Nēnē Awards

The Nēnē Award is an annual award given to honor books that have been enjoyed by the children of Hawai‘i. Students in grades 4-6 may vote at schools or public libraries participating in the program. This year, students may vote for their favorite books in two categories: fiction and graphic novel fiction.
