Each year our Grade 9 First Nation, Metis and Inuit Students that do not already have a name can request to receive one. The First Nation, Metis and Inuit Facilitator and Graduation Coach work with the Elders, the family and the student to get prepared to receive a name. This ceremony happens during the school day usually a couple days before the farewell mass. It happens during school hours so members of the school community can be present and learn the significance of receiving a name.
