The Hillsboro Housing Authority is governed by a Board of Commissioners, with the day-to-day administration and management of Grand Oaks Apartments carried out by the Executive Director.
Grand Oaks Apartments welcomed its first residents in 1980, beginning more than four decades of service to the Hillsboro community. Since that time, the Hillsboro Housing Authority has remained committed to meeting the community's need for quality, income-based public housing.
As we look toward the future, HHA is committed to the long-term sustainability of Grand Oaks Apartments through responsible stewardship of public resources, sound property management, and continued investment in the maintenance and improvement of our housing.
Our goal is to preserve Grand Oaks as a valuable community resource so that it can continue serving eligible households for generations to come.
Rent is generally based on household income and calculated in accordance with HUD requirements. Residents may also have the option of selecting the applicable flat rent.
The current flat rent for a one-bedroom apartment is $370.00 per month.
Eligibility for Grand Oaks Apartments is based on household composition, income, and other requirements established by HUD and the Hillsboro Housing Authority.
Grand Oaks offers one-bedroom apartments for eligible one- and two-person households. Household income must be within the applicable HUD income limits at the time eligibility is determined.
As part of the eligibility and admissions process, the Hillsboro Housing Authority may verify information provided by the applicant and conduct applicant screening in accordance with HUD requirements and HHA's Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP). Screening may include rental history, references, and other information relevant to determining suitability for tenancy.
