In this asynchronous honors project, students from any biology class at HTHCV can opt in to join Mr. Zak for this honors credit course. They chose 1 endangered species from around the globe. Using the IUCN Red List website, Animal Diversity Web, and other species-specific websites and videos, they researched their species and created a series of three portraits.
Portrait 1- Showing their animal in their specific habitat.
Portrait 2- Depicting a major threat to their species.
Portrait 3- Reproduction or life cycle of their animal.
Essential Question: How can we, as students in San Diego, raise awareness and build understanding for endangered species around the world?
Community Partner: Various. Each student reaches out to an organization that specifically works with their animal.
