My mentor is Dylan, a contractor who originally was a plumber because he came into troubel in school. This position limited his opportunity for further education. After some time, he grew tired of plumbing and decided to get his contractor's license, eventually starting his own business. Although he began with many connections, that didn't make it easy. During the time I spent with him, I often saw him on calls even while he was working on-site. On top of that, he had to manage payroll, supplies, contracts, ... and lawsuits. While he does have someone to assist him with these responsibilities, I would find this to be verey stressful.
This is my favorite photo, not because it holds any important meaning, but because it represents something I frequently encounter. Understanding this context adds a lot of background to my job. Since I frequently return to Home Depot at least twice a day for supplies, I have become familiar with many items, particularly those related to plumbing . In short, if you're involved in any maintenance work, you will definitely be at the Home Depot often.
I also connect with the home depo since I went there a lot even before this internship
