MLK Day of Service

Giving back as a community

Think of it as a "day on, not a day off"

Monday, January 21, 2019

Our biggest service learning activity is coming up on MLK Day, Monday Jan 21. For the third year in a row, we are partnering with Cozies for Chemo to make and donate blankets to adult and pediatric cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. We invite you and your family and friends to join us to help make blankets at the Haddon Heights High School cafeteria. All families are welcome to attend. Children must be supervised. Parents and older children should plan to help little ones. Sign up here:

Also, in order to have the materials to make the blankets, we are also seeking donations of $10 for each fleece blanket kit. Planning to be away for MLK weekend? This is the perfect way to still get involved. Donate here:

Finally, if you are handy with sewing and crafting, we could use some additional help cutting blanket kits in advance. Please let us know if you have time between now and Jan 20 to cut 5 kits so that we have some ready to go that day. The estimate to cut is about 15 min per kit and we will supply you with the scissors. Please contact us to sign up.
