Chris Petteys


Chris, son of Chris and Ruth Petteys, is currently a Senior and is in his third year of science research. He participates in varsity wrestling and varsity soccer. He also is a member of the Sports leadership organization, the treasurer of the Hudson Falls wrestling club and the President of the Science National Honor Society and Vice President of National Honor Society. He likes to spend his free time lifting, wrestling, hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with family & friends. Chris is hoping to attend college Gannon University to study Electrical Engineering. He is studying “Assessing the potential impacts to aquatic ecosystems resulting from the loss of hemlock basal area in Upstate New York.” He became interested in this topic because he is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

Isaac Kwasniewski

Currently attending SUNY ESF studying Wildlife Biology

Isaac, son of Melissa and Theodore Kwasniewski, is currently a Senior and it is his third year of the Science Research Program. He participates in Varsity soccer, basketball, track and field. He is also involved in the high school orchestra. He likes to spend his free time reading, being outdoors, watching sports games, and having fun with family and friends. Isaac is hoping to attend college at SUNY ESF to study Wildlife Sciences. His project is entitled “The effect of nitrogen in caged chicken manure and free-range chicken manure on plant growth.” He became interested in this topic because he likes being around plants and animals.
