Sophomores

Brighton Bellows

Brighten Bellows, son of David and Vicky Bellows, is a sophomore at Hudson Falls High School, and is in his first year of the Science Research Program. Brighten does soccer in the fall, track in the spring, and also does trap shooting. He is in the school band and plays the french horn, and will be doing lifeguarding during the summer. Brighten is currently interested in researching the effects of capsaicin on metabolism and physiology.

Kloe Duke

Kloe Duke, daughter of Karrie and Darrin Duke, is a sophomore at Hudson Falls High School, and is in her first year of the Science Research Program. She enjoys drumming, listening to music, painting, and spending time outside. She is interested in studying White Rot Fungi and their uses for the bioremediation of polluted wastewater.

Alyssa Harper

Alyssa Harper, daughter of Donna Harper and Greg Harper, is a sophomore at hudson falls high school, and she is in her first year of the sciences research program. She does competitively swim all year round and also dances at Bolton Dance Academy. In her free time she enjoys reading and watching hockey. She also does key club and enjoys helping out her community. She is interested in the effects radon has on lung cancer and how much the community really knows.  

Karrigan Kipp

Karrigan Kipp, daughter of Karyn Kipp and Brian LeBarron, is a sophomore at Hudson Falls High School. This is her first year in the Science Research program.  She enjoys competitive cheerleading, listening to music, and cooking or baking. In this program she is Researching how stretching can improve hip flexibility, and if that can lead to higher jumps. 

Justin Mullis

Justin Mullis, son of Shawn Mullis and Tonya Tozzi, is a sophomore at Hudson Falls High School and this is his first year at the science research program. He is a student athlete that competes in wrestling. He is studying the basics of gait and stride analysis in horses as the main portion of his research.

Emma Sesselman

Emma Sesselman, daughter of Chad and Denise Sesselman, is a sophomore at Hudson Falls High School and in her first year of the Science Research program. She does archery in her free time and enjoys reading, listening to music and writing.
