What Is Stress?
There are many different types of mental heath struggles one being stress, stress is the bodies physical, mental, and emotional reaction to pressure, demands, and challenges. Stress can affect people differently.
Statistics And Data
Stress is a very common thing to feel, approximately 26.9% of teens struggle with stress out of 316 in a survey taken. There was another survey taken by the American Psychological Association and it shows that nearly half of teens, 45 percent to be exact, stated that they were stressed by school pressures. These included homework, social and grade performance and appearance. Out of those 3 stress causes another survey was taken to estimate which one caused the most stress, 24 percent of students get most stressed from homework.
Signs And Causes
There are many signs of stress, signs can be different for different people. Some causes of stress my be Shakiness , you my sweat and feel the need to pace around. You may also feel anxious and feel edginess. You could also feel relentless and or tense. There are always cause for this stress, if you have a busy schedule with work, or school work. An important event may be coming up, such as a tests coming up or a sporting game as well interview. Communication can also cause stress, you may not know what to say if someone asks you an important question and you don't know how to respond. Tragic events can make you feel stressed out, if here something happens to one of your friends or family, this may cause you to be worried or stressed.
Ways To Cope With Stress
There are many was to cope with stress. Making sure to acquire enough sleep is very important. Make sure your eating healthy foods and drink enough water. Getting physical activity such as going for a walk, a jog, or even going outside with your friends. A quick way to calm yourself down is to take deep breaths, make sure to take longer exhales. If none of these work, the best way to cope is to talk with someone, such as a trusted adult.

If your not experiencing stress, you could share the information you have learned with someone who is, to try to help them and make them feel better. It is important to help people experiencing mental health struggles that are experiencing stress or not.
