What is CTE?
CTE stands for Career Technical Education. Most pathways we offer at OHHS are articulated, meaning if you pass with a B or better, you will earn college credit at VVC and/or Barstow Community College. Most of the CTE courses will also meet the G requirement (college prep elective) for 4 year Universities. Each pathway consists of a concentrator and capstone class. Students need to take both classes in the CTE pathway to be a completor.

Registered Dental Assisting Information
Students who are interested in the Registered Dental Assisting Program and will be either a junior or senior next school year (2025-2026 school year) will need to email their counselor to receive the interest form.
The interest form will close on Feb. 28th at 4:00 pm.
Grades, attendance, transportation, availability will be looked at.
Students who fill out the interest form will be invited via email to participate in an in person orientation on March 4th
Participation in the orientation is mandatory - Only those students who fill out an interest form will be invited to attend.
The program is accepting 30 students total for the 2025-2026 school year.
Student who has been accepted into the RDA program for the 2025-2026 school year will be notified on or by March 31st.

Students who are interested in the Cosmetology/Barbering Program and will be either a junior or senior next school year (2025-2026 school year) will need to email their counselor to receive the interest form.
