The Hertford County Health Science Academy offers three dynamic pathways to prepare students for careers in healthcare. The Roanoke Chowan Community College Nursing Program partnership provides a direct route into nursing with priority admission points. The College Transfer: Associate in Science prepares students who are seeking to go a community college before transferring to a community college before a 4-year university, while the 6 Course Pathway allows students to explore a variety of health science topics, gaining essential skills and certifications to jump-start their medical careers.

College Transfer: Associate in Science
6 Course Pathway:
Recommended but not limited to students seeking to go to a 4-year university immediately after high school.
Take at least 6 courses from the recommended course list. Please remind students that this is the minimum and they should be working to take as many of the courses as possible. See the attached list of courses. Courses may be added or deleted from this list each year.
