Message from Your Coordinator

I am beyond excited to launch the Hertford County Health Science Academy with the support of Hertford County Public Schools and ECU Health. This program is a dream come true, allowing me to take my expertise beyond the classroom and into a larger learning space—one that prepares students for careers in all areas of healthcare while also giving back to eastern North Carolina. My goal is to see this academy grow and flourish, reaching students who are passionate about making a difference in the medical field. But more than that, I want to see our students invest in their community, give back to Hertford County, and play a role in its success. Watching our academy graduates go on to serve, heal, and lead—right here at home—will be my greatest accomplishment.
