Season 14 Highlights

• In October, ALTV and Sandstone's SMSTV jointly produced a simulcast of the ALMS/Sandstone 7th and 8th grade football games. Students anchored the livestream with KOHU/KQFM Sports Director Erick Olson as our guest anchor.

• In November, two student entries were awarded 1st and 2nd place in the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Broadcast Story contest.

• In November, ALTV received Honorable Mention in the STN Nat Sound Package contest.

• ALTV and SMSTV simulcast four AAU basketball tournaments.

• In early March, 2025, 12 students from Armand Larive Middle School and eight students from Sandstone Middle School attended the Student Television Network Convention in Tampa, Florida.

• At the STN Convention, ALTV was recognized with the STN Distinguished Merit Award (Bronze Medal) for its ALTV News monthly show entry.

• ALTV received 3rd place in the Nat Sound Package contest held onsite at the convention.

• The Oregon Journalism Education Association (OJEA) awarded it's Excellent Award and it's highest distinction Superior Award to two ALTV stories in the Human Interest Story category.

• National JEA presented the Excellent Award for ALTV's Broadcast News Story entry.

• In April ALTV televised its first softball game in a joint production with SMSTV.
