Introduction to Drafting Course Overview
Introduction to Drafting and Design is a one-credit course that serves as an introduction to the architecture and engineering drawing and design field, and is a prerequisite to all other courses in the pathway. Emphasis is placed on safety, the correct use of tools and equipment, drafting media, sketching, lettering, alphabet of lines, geometric construction, fundamentals of AutoCAD, multiview drawing, and basic dimensioning. Students will use both CAD and the traditional drawing table to complete most assignments.
